Mr. Shim's Request

How can I help you? My name is Cantsee Shim, or 2071009 for short. I live here in Korean Folk Town and I live with my beautiful daughter Shim Chung, my precious only child. Have you seen her by any chance? She has been busy going to places, and I haven't seen her in a while. I am worried about her whereabouts. Where could she be ...\r\nL0Do you want me to help you find her?\r\nL1Mr. Cantsee Shim ... so are you completely blind?

No. My last name is 'Shim', and my name is 'Cantsee', but it's just the name, nothing else. Believe me, people always inquire about it, and that's why I just go by Mr. Shim. As I have gotten older, however, I am legitimately concerned about my rapidly declining eye sight. \r\nL0How about trying on a pair of glasses?

Yes. I also went to the market a while ago, and I heard of this new item called the 'Reading Glasses'. The merchant told me this item is for everyone who has grown old and whose eye sight is slowly declining, struggling to see what's right in front. I mean, this item is just perfect for me! After finding out the price, though, I was devastated. \r\nL0How much was it?

I don't know why it's so expensive... I mean, 200 4031279s? Our family has been struggling to put food on the table, so that price tag is definitely too overwhelming. I can't let my daughter know of this, because this will greatly upset her; she's just a pure angel, she does not want to see her daddy struggle like this. Because of that, I haven't told her of this.\r\nL0Well, then forget about it.\r\nL1May I help you in this?

Really? Are you really going to help me out?

Thank you so much. Honestly, I'm scared these days. I'm scared of losing my eye sight to the point of becoming completely blind. If you can lend me 200 4031279s, then I'll make sure I'll help you on your journey down the road. By the way, do you really have that much rice to begin with?

So you made me pour my heart out, only for you to say no at the end? You're despicable ... I'm really a man in need, and I am afraid I may go totally blind if I don't do something about it really soon... and for you to crack a joke at my expense... that's just really disappointing.

Is this really ... no, it IS indeed 200 4031279s. I don't think I have ever seen a collection of rice this big. I can't believe you're actually lending out this much to me. I ... I really don't know what to say. Thank you, thank you and thank you... how can I repay you for your good deed?

Honestly, I have no idea how long it'll take for me to pay you back 200 4031279s, so instead of that, I'll give you this book that has been our family treasure for generations. I want to personally thank you for helping us out. Please take it.
